The idea.
"Why not build a website where parents can easily find playgrounds, rate them, share playground tips, and upload playground photos?" This simple question posed by Bettina and Markus Schilling sparked an idea that would transform the way families explore outdoor play spaces. With Bettina refining the concept and Markus translating it into reality through programming, launched in May 2009 with just five entries. Fast forward to the present, and the platform boasts over 23,000 registered playgrounds across Germany and Europe.

What began as a remedy for their own frustrations has evolved into a vibrant community hub where parents share invaluable insights and recommendations. Spielplatztreff is now easily accessible through its app, available on both Android and iOS, enabling parents across Germany and Europe to utilize the platform on the move and always be prepared for quality time with their children.
